Woodforest Annual Turkey Trot Returns Nov. 28

The public can start Thanksgiving Day the healthy way with the annual Woodforest Turkey Trot, 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 28. Events in the race, which starts at Forest Island, 4665 Woodforest Parkway South, include the Mashed Potato Mile and the 5K Family Feast Walk/Run. A Harvest Half Mile is available for kids ages 12 and under. Snacks and water will be provided. All runners receive a finisher medal and those registering by Nov. 17 will receive a race T-shirt.
