Woodforest Hosts 1st Annual Tree Lighting Nov. 22

Woodforest will start a new holiday tradition with a tree lighting ceremony open to the public from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22. Featuring a 25-foot tree and more than 5,000 lights, the event will take place at the community’s Christine Allen Nature Park, 5831 Woodforest Parkway South. Additional activities will include holiday music, an elf, cookies and cocoa, photo opportunities in a sleigh and a direct line to the North Pole via a Santa mailbox.
